CCAC cut the ribbon for the Honors Program’s newest Honors Hub located in West Hall on Allegheny Campus on Friday, Sept. 26. CCAC students, faculty, administrators and staff attended the event to tour the college’s newly renovated space dedicated exclusively to Honors students. The Honors Hub features six computer workstations, couch seating, a kitchenette, and large tables to facilitate classes and collaboration-—all available in a setting that combines the building’s original historic architecture with modern interior design.

“This space, where Honors students can pause amid the busyness of their lives, reflect together and turn experience into growth, will be a place where learning goes beyond the classroom, where leadership and service are nurtured, and where students find both inspiration and community,” said Dr. Stephen Wells, CCAC provost and chief academic officer.

CCAC currently has 458 Honors students enrolled in the program across all campuses and centers. Approximately 50% of those program members attend classes at Allegheny.

Honors at CCAC provides an academically challenging and enriching learning experience for highly motivated, academically prepared and intellectually curious students. Honors Program students have the opportunity to engage in academic enrichments that provide depth and breadth of understanding and application of knowledge. Students must meet certain criteria to apply. For more information, click here.
