OSHA Training
The Institute was established in the early 1980s, predominately offering Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs. In the early 1990s CCAC expanded the mission of the Institute to include EMS, Fire, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Vehicle Operations and Emergency Management. PSI trains approximately 15,000 students per year in public safety programs in Allegheny, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Warren and Washington Counties.
Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry (OSHA 10 - General Industry)
This course for private sector personnel covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.
