OSHA Training
The Public Safety Institute (PSI) was established in the early 1980s, primarily offering Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs. In the early 1990s, CCAC expanded its mission to include EMS, Fire, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Vehicle Operations and Emergency Management. The Public Safety Institute trains approximately 15,000 students each year in public safety programs. Training is offered in the following counties:

Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry (OSHA 10 - General Industry)
This course for private sector personnel covers Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.
