Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)

Earn the CEBS designation by completing five required courses. The CEBS Designation is a total compensation credential that is recognized for the depth and breadth of critical knowledge that it provides. It combines the GBA and RPA curriculum to build a total compensation perspective.

For those new to the benefit field, CEBS can provide a solid knowledge base of the concepts and principles upon which employee benefit plans are designed. For experienced benefit professionals, it can serve as a refresher course and provide public recognition for their expertise.

We recommend starting with GBA 1 or RPA 1 and work toward earning your Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) on your path to the full CEBS.

Participants in the CEBS program come from many areas of employee benefits, including:

  • plan sponsors
  • consulting firms
  • insurance companies
  • banks, law firms
  • investment and accounting firms
